What song or TV show reminds you of high school?:  Beasties, Femmes, REM, Cheers
Favorite high school memory?:
Pond hockey in the winter, fishing in the summers, working at Village Greens and playing tennis and golf all summer.
Most memorable experience since high school?:
The greatest memories are marriage, and kids. Hitting a deer while rushing my wife to the hospital made our second child's delivery interesting.(everyone was fine except the deer) I think playing golf at 20 of the top 100 courses in the nation ranks up there too.
From Charlie:
After DGN, I attended ISU for 2 years and then moved to PA to graduate from Penn State. (GO LIONS!) I got my degree in Turfgrass Science. I met my wife Karen while at PSU and we were married in 94. We have 3 great kids. Camryn(1999), Robbie(2001), and Andrew(2003). We currently live in the Phiadelphia suburbs in a small rural town. The people here can't believe how big my high school class was. I sell John Deere Golf and Turf equipment to the golf courses surrounding Philly. I love my job. My wife stays home with the kids and works harder than I do. I play alot of golf and enjoy coaching 6 year old baseball and soccer.
It would be great to attend the reunion and catch up with the Blue Line 6001ers, Omega staff, tennis team, etc. Hope everyone is doing well. 20 Freakin years!!! Yikes!

From Mike :
Hey Everybody,

Time goes by so quick.

After high school I went to Iowa State, graduated with a degree in Agricultural Business and then worked in the food industry for 8years (2 in Minnesota, 1 Kentucky and 5 back in Chicago).

I left all that fun and when back to get an associate degree from College of DuPage in Computer Science (getting a jump on my midlife crisis, hiding from the real world and only working on my golf game).

In April 2003 I was diagnosed with kidney failure, did 6 month of dialysis and then received a transplant in Oct. 2003 with my brother being the donor. I was diagnosed with a bad kidney freshmen year in high school and didn’t play contact sports because of that, they said I might need a transplant one day and they were right.  My health is good and I appreciate everything in life so much more now.

I have since gotten my Sales license and then my Broker’s license in real estate, live in Downtown Downers Grove and work part time managing property for Cottonwood Management Company based in Aurora. I can’t wait to see everyone.

There are so many! Driving to school with Viki Mickas, Gayle Szykowny, and Erica Smith in my huge boat of a car...we all sat in the front seat...Viki worked the accelerator and I steered and worked the brake. I'm sure Gayle and Erica were just happy to get to school alive! Playing assassin with Viki Mickas as my partner(does anyone else remember playing that?) and chasing down people to shoot them. Running through backyards while getting chased by the Woodridge police for "t-p"-ing someone's house (Bethany Stephens, do you remember this?). DGN hockey games. Intramural floor hockey (our team rocked) and beating Cammie Granato's team (Olympic gold medalist--our only claim to fame). So what if they were all a year younger than us? Parties at my house--Kristen Halsted, I'll drink, smoke, and argue about the Bible with you any day...Jana Rudi, you let my dog run away (again!)...and if my Dad comes downstairs, hide the beer!
Most memorable experience since high school?:
Getting married to my husband, John, in 1993, and having our two children--Andrew in 1996 and Mariana in 2000. Life is good!
From Heather:
I can't believe it's been 20 years! We're not THAT old, are we? So many stories, so little time. Can't wait to see everyone.

From Kim:
These days you can find my husband, Jordan, our boys (Danny- 7 years and Drew- 3 going on 30)and myself in Marietta, Ga.  We've been here since '05 and are getting used to the "Southern drawl."  Been back to IL all the time to see family and friends (Leigh Ludwig, Carolyn Vavrek, Wendy Tarczon and more!).  Had a great time returning for Cubs games and St. Patrick's Day festivities.

We spent this past summer involved with a travelling summer baseball team for my oldest son, Danny.  His team was the State Champions for 7 and under and finished 5th at the World Series.  He must get his baseball abilities from his mom and her bowling skills!

Can't wait to see everyone soon.

Most memorable experience since high school?:
Giving birth to two beautiful children and graduating medical school
From Sudha:
Hi everyone!
Most importantly, I'm a mommy of two (Devan-7yrs and Devika-4yrs).
I'm a psychiatrist in private practice and the occasional voiceover actor. I am a television personality for the local NBC affiliate in San Antonio. I did a call in radio show (like "frasier") for a while but got way too many freaky calls and "love letters" from committed psych patients so I bailed. I'm an assistant professor of psychiatry at the medical school and am coeditor of the local medical magazine. I do a whole lot of other crazy stuff because people ask me to and I foolishly say "sure". I don't sleep much (but does anybody with kids?)
I live in San Antonio now after a stint in the Air Force! (yup-this liberal totally sold out)
I lived in LA before I moved here and in Boston before that.  Go Spurs! Hope everyone is well!

Favorite high school memory?:
It's hard to say one thing. Choir all 4 yrs - Chamber choir was great - Remember singing at Dick Hart's Daughter's wedding reception?! Or TP'ing his yard? Coming in 5th at State for Speech team. The Washington DC Trip with Mr. Hayman. Never quite being successful at x-country - Mrs. Eggers shouting "GO North!" as I nearly passed out....who knew I was supposed to run marathons....not based on those performances!
Most memorable experience since high school?:
Studying at the University of Barcelona. Moving back to Europe after graduating from UofI - living in Hamburg, Munich, Barcelona...moving to Sitges. Competing in 18 marathons qualifying and running Boston, London Marathon was the most fun so far. Traveling to Oktoberfest with my husband and running friends - running a 20 miler in the Englisher Garten and then going to Oktoberfest - all night. Doing my first triathlon...then my 2nd then my 3rd (swimming in open water with people crawling over your head - scary) Running Hood to Coast relay in Oregon with 11 other women. Coaching Girls on the Run. Having 2 great kids watching them grow up...my son Milan just graduated pre-K (hence the photo) and began kindergarten this year and Natalya is 3. Moving to California with Crate & Barrel to help grow the SoCal division. (Oh, and my husband told me I should put down getting married to him)
From Anita:
I am looking forward to coming back to Chicago/DG for the reunion. I can't wait to see everyone. Not much of a golfer but I would go for a run around the old x-country neighborhood route if anyone is interested on Saturday morning. See you at the football game. "GO North!"
