What song or TV show reminds you of high school?:  "Crazy For You" by Madonna...any Madonna, Whitesnake, Duran Duran & Phil Collins "Sussudio"......didn't say I loved it, just reminds me of high school
Favorite high school memory?:
Simple stuff........sneaking out of the Operetta to attend Kelly Allard's St. Patty's party during the intermission (and then sneaking back into the Operetta), attending baseball games with Christine Devereaux at Doerhoffer Park, riding the cheerleading bus to games and singing songs (yes, we really did sing), having to serve an "in-school" suspension for going out to "Feebs" with Jimmy Timble for lunch one day, driving to parties on the weekend with Carolyn Vavrek and singing songs played via cassette tape on her boom box (she only had AM radio), loved English with Stanley Steed, and I actually thought SPIRIT week was fun.
Most memorable experience since high school?:
I loved our wedding. Being in a room surrounded by our family and favorite friends is really as good as it gets. Since then, raising my girls is fun and rewarding and definitely crazy at times.
From Leigh Ellen:
Abridged version: Graduated from U of I in 1991 and moved to Chicago. Loved the city, got a teaching/masters degree from DePaul, met my husband at "Hi-Tops" (bar right outside of Wrigley Field), got married in 2000, had a little girl in 2002 and moved to Downers Grove in 2004. Had a second little girl 6 months ago. Having fun planning the reunion with old friends. Looking forward to seeing everyone in October!

After graduation, I went to Crown College in Minnesota for 2 years and played Division 3 Football. I left college to get married and I got into the electrical union. I have 2 children, Samantha (13) and Zachary (11). I divorced than got remarried to a fantastic woman. Letisha and I got married in October of 2004. I bought a bar in 2003, and opened an electrical contracting company doing commercial and Industrial work in 2005. We stay pretty busy with the two businesses, but we still take time to enjoy life.

Come see us at American Dreams in North Aurora!

Letisha runs the bar. It is a good time!

Most memorable experience since high school?:
Besides the birth of my 2 children, I'd have to say getting married on the side of a mountain in Banff, Canada.
From Matt:
Wow 20 years! Thank you to the entire reunion committee for taking on the task of putting this entire reunion together.  I'm looking forward to that weekend.  My wife, Barb, 2 1/2 yr. old Caroline, 14 month old John and I live in Bolingbrook.  I've been selling for Sealed Air/Cryovac for 9 years.  Prior to that I sold printing for Standard Register 7 years. I graduated from Northern Illinois with a Marketing degree in 92'. Life has changed with kids... for the good.  Less time golfing and more time at the pool, zoo, and Morton Arboretum.  We also enjoy spending weekends at Lake Carroll.  Everyone is healthy and enjoying life. See you all in October!!!

What song or TV show reminds you of high school?:  U2 Sunday Bloody Sunday
From Tom:
"Back in Black" had me laughing.  Twenty years sounds like such a long time but I don't feel that old. We live downtown by the lake and I spend plenty of my time helping my wife grow her stationery design business but our free time is spent traveling...I'm up to 17 countries and counting. Can't wait to see everyone in October.

UPDATE:  We just sold our place downtown and are moving to Utah to live in the mountains. We wanted to change things up a bit and will be moving both our companies out there.  Our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks will love it too I'm sure.  We leave three days after the reunion so the party will be on that weekend.

Most memorable experience since high school?:
The birth of my daughter, Charlize.
From John:
Great to see all of the before and after pics! Amazing how far the wind has blown some of us! I sometimes feel like I never left! Dating a girl who works at DGN, so I see the place from time to time. After HS went to COD & then North Central on an  academic scholarship. Had my daugther with a fellow DGN grad, class of '93. Since then I've been working downtown and playing a lot of competitive beach volleyball. I see 'DJ' Jeff Overstreet frequently at the Lodge after my games at 4lakes and occasionally run into fellow classmates who invariably don't recognize and/or remember me.

The best memories I have was being a part of the DGN Athena Drill Team. Hanging out with Camile, Viki, Pam and Shannon.
Most memorable experience since high school?:
Getting married to my husband Jeff and having my children, Alyssa & Evan.
From Tricia:

After 2 years at DGN, my family and I moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan where I offically graduated from FHC.  However I still remain very close with Camile (Pleshar) Jordan, and even vacationed with Steve Riley and Camile a few years ago.

After high school, I got hired at At&t, married my husband Jeff in 1996.  We have two children, Alyssa 7 & Evan 4.  Last year I retired from At&t after 19 years and  have started my own IBO and provide childcare part-time to friends and neighbors.

It was fun to look back over the past 20 years and remember just how my high school years started.  Thanks to the DGN committee for putting together a great reunion website.

The 20th reunion was such a blast! I'll remember that one for a LONG time!
From Stephanie:

Hey everyone! It was great to see everyone so happy, healthy... Drunk?

I got married in '93 -- met my husband, Scott, in a bar at NIU. We have three kids -- AJ is nine (I was pregnant with him at the 10-year reunion so that wasn't much fun!), McKaelen is 8, and Luke is almost 6.

We lived in Philly for 7 years, but have been back here in Woodridge for almost 3 years. I stay at home with the kids (like we all know THAT's not a full-time job). I wrote a novel and have a literary agent 'shopping' it to publishers, along with a non-fiction book on pregnancy. I am an editor for www.babyzone.com and I also write a Mom Blog at www.manicmommy.blogspot.com.

PS--Did anyone come across a I HEART HOT MOMS t-shirt? : )
